Going along with Lisa's first post of her version of how we met, I think I'll keep with tradition by writing my version for my first post. It all started at the beginning of Spring semester my Freshman year at the U. Most of my friends from high school had left on their missions, so Thomas and I were the only two that were still around and hanging out together. With some encouragement of some people in my ward, we decided to join a chapter of Sigma Gamma Chi to make some new friends. After going to the rush week activities, we decided to join Alpha. After a few weeks, Thomas stopped going and got more involved with his work, but I started getting more involved in the chapter.
Shortly after joining Alpha, I agreed to go the Sigma Gamma Chi formal. The only hard part was finding a date for the dance. After weeks of looking for someone to go with, I started to get desperate. Finally, the night before the dance, my fraternity brothers agreed to help me find a date. Scott, whom Lisa mentioned, came up to me during the evening and asked if I had found a date yet. He then gave me a girl's number and said, "Just tell her that I gave you her number, and she'll be alright with it." Because I was desperate, I called her soon and called her a few times, so that just in case she didn't want to go I would be able to find someone. When I finally did get a hold of her, we set up a time for me to pick her up the next day.
The next evening, I picked up some flowers (thanks to the suggestion of another Alpha brother) and went to go pick her up. As soon as I saw that beautiful girl coming down the staircase, I was glad that Scott had given me that number. We didn't do as much dancing that night as talking, and needless to say we hit it off pretty well. Our stars were aligned, and the rest, you might say, is history.
Cute! I love love. I saw Lisa's pretty picture on Facebook and then saw the link to ya'lls blog, so I'll be adding you to my blog list if it's okay with you. :)
