There is one thing that I have been worried about for the wedding. If you've ever seen the movie 27 Dresses, you know what I'm talking about. That hideous scene where she tries on all the dresses for the reporter and he does a full photo shoot of her in the worst of the worst dresses. Oh my! Now on the other hand, Kristen did give me that movie for Christmas.
I do love chick flicks or was she really trying to hint at something else? After that, I knew we had to find bridesmaids dresses that my bridesmaids liked and not just something that they could use again if they shortened it!
So we searched and really searched. Kristen, Audrey and I searched for hours one Saturday. Then, I got the idea that maybe we could find it at a bride show with all the stores displaying them. Kristen found some time and we went to the show held at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. And there you have it! We went through every booth even though I had mostly everything planned. But the highlight was when we went through the room Kathleen's Bridal was in because there was a gorgeous dark purple dress!
The next weekend Audrey and I went to Kathleen's to see if we could order it. Lo and Behold, it came in lavender!
Now the best twist to this story is that I had to guess on sizes. But as the title says it fits! I'm really grateful to Laura and Audrey who are going to be wearing their dresses all day for me. Laura was so nice to step in when I needed her the most, even coming to try the dress on when I wasn't home! (my late nights at the firm) Thanks Lulu!
But it looks so pretty on both girls! Audrey even wore it to Senior Ball. Yay!!!!!
So as the girls like to say, "I'll be there in the second best dress!"
Awe! Too cute! And if my Christmas gifts lead to ideas then I'm getting you guys John & Kate Plus 8 next year! :) PS We should go to more bridal shows. That shaved ice stuff (and some of the finer foods as well) were so good!
