Family Traditions Bridal Shower!!!

This was a really fun bridal shower! The sweet women from my ward planned this great event. It was held at Carin Nelson's home which is right across the street. Very convenient when trying to carry a lot of stuff home. Her house is beautiful!

The theme for the shower: Family Traditions. I loved all the advice and of course the gifts that matched! This was so neat because I learned something new about every family and now wanting to use the traditions with my own family!

Literally there was a tradition from every holiday. I think I've got my calendar now full of ideas for this coming season!

Some of the traditions shared to name a few:

Christmas- making Gingerbread houses, making family matching pajamas.

Labor day, 4th of July- Boating and camping! A must!

Valentines-Keeping it simple, homemade cherry pie.

Friday nights- Movie in night! I like this one!

Sunday nights-Game night! Whether it be a gospel game or a game of chess.

Everyday- Have dull knives! Lol! (The gift was actually a set of some really nice sharp silver ones).

And then of course some great general advice such as A Family who Prays Together Stays Together.

These women are amazing! It was so much fun to visit with them and to have a way to remember all their wonderful examples! And they truly out did themselves. I think I have more things than that will ever fit into our tiny apartment! And the wedding hasn't even happened yet! Thanks to everyone!!! :)

WOW!

This will be a favorite, Chocolate! Fondue party, anyone?
