I bought my parents a magnet in Vegas that says, "You're not an empty nester until the kids move all their stuff out of the garage!" They laughed and teased because so much of their home has been filled with all of their kids stuff because let's fact it, apartments are just plain small.
Today however, a lot moved in and it was more than just "stuff." It included something even better. Nate, Jen and the babies.
We spent the whole day helping them move out of their old apartment and into my parents. Nate, Jen, Aiden and new baby will be in the basement. As for Katelyn, she's in the BIG-girl room.
My parents are probably no where near being empty nesters. I honestly believe they don't even want to be empty nesters (yes, you can tell them I said that). They were the ones to convince Kevin and I to stay with them while we were waiting for the SLC apartment to be ready. They convinced Nate and Jen when their rent went up to move in right after we moved out. I'm laughing at this point because it's just so much fun to have everyone around.
Honestly, who needs a huge house when there is only two?
I'm looking forward to laundry days now when I can play with Aiden while waiting for the washer to beep. I might just get a little sidetracked from laundry by talking to my mom and Jen.
Oh yeah, it's going to be a laundry party!
I love the Indian Springs Home. There are so many good memories and more to come. I think I'll have to have more excuses to come over when my new niece arrives in January!
