Let's face it. I'm not a motivated cleaner when I could be doing so many other fun things. So when I read this, it was time to start cleaning. Not just the wipe down the counters, but the heavy duty cleaning. I think it's even harder to clean if you're living in a temporary small apartment like me, just waiting to move on to the next place.
I thought of this quote:
To quote one of my favorite organizers, Peter Walsh, “Your home is the outward expression of what you value, what you enjoy, and what is important to you.”
Wow! If I think about it, this speaks truth. You can tell the feeling of a room by the colors, what is on the walls, if it's clean or not, etc. I think if people walked into our little apartment the way it is now, they might scream because of all the clutter. Time to DE-clutter! :) What I want people to notice most is the fun pictures Kevin and I have on the wall of the two of us!
The key to unlocking happy homemaking is GRATITUDE. What a great attribute that we all need to have.
Thanks to the Gals at How Does She? for teaching me just a little bit more on how to be a good housewife.
Happy Cleaning!!!
