Embrace the Camera Day

Awhile ago, I stumbled upon the Anderson Crew. With some of the best DIYs on Made with Love Monday's and Embrace the Camera Day, you can't go wrong. This cute family is working away to bring home their baby and sister from Ethiopia. In the meantime, they're celebrating life and they're family.

Now what is Embrace the Camera Day? It's a day where you grab one of your kids and take a picture of the two of you or your spouse or your dog or just you. It's all about embracing the camera. Feeling like you're not good enough? You better find out about your punishment here. It's pretty brutal.

I love this idea and now every Thursday, you'll see me embracing the camera. And if you're not a poor college student like me, please help this family bring their baby home.

Today Katelyn embraces the camera for me. I had Kevin take a picture of Zoe, Kate and I when we took Zoe to the airport this morning. I would show you our tired, no makeup, stayed up late studying (packing in Zoe's case) faces. But then it would give away her haircut and that won't be until tomorrow (nice try Scott). Please visit again tomorrow for some amazing pictures!

In the meantime, I think this girl says it all.

My talented niece was getting ready for a mini singing concert at her school when I snapped a few pictures of her, in her new Christmas dress that grandma bought on Black Friday.
She looks so grown up, what a little lady.

The school was decorated for their "Deck the Halls" concert with homemade art, the very best kind.

Now to add to the fun, thanks to Keegan we have a clear video of it all adding to this time of year. I am sure you're going to love it and probably laugh. Such good times. Little Miss Katelyn is the one on the far right corner. She was in front of a lot of tall kids.

There's nothing sadder in this world than to awake Christmas morning and not be a child.
