I'm sorry that I've been away.
I've been taking some time to heal.
There's a few things along the way that I've learned that I'd love to share.
I'd like to focus on the last one.
Eat well, exercise well and just be well.
I've never been good at that one until recently.
I realize that I do NEED to eat three solid meals a day despite what society
says about having a little waist.
I've been great about it lately and have actually worked out at the gym on a regular basis.
A gem that I found that has helped me, is Zumba.
Now if you're not familiar with this, it's basically dancing hip-hop in some ways.
Now, I am not a coordinated person at all.
I have two left feet and two left hands.
I'm not a girl who does well in sports, sadly.
I was a little worried about fitting in and even going.
But once I got over my fear and went, it was amazing.
It's an all women's class, each woman is there for her own health and isn't worried about what the girl next to her is wearing or judging if she can keep up or not. It has turned out to be a support group.
The young and old, skinny and fat-we're there for our health.
Now wouldn't you want to be apart of something like that?
Check to see if there is one in your area, you won't regret it.
If you live in Bountiful, you're more than welcome to join me.
Classes are at the Rec Center and start at 9pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
***Thank you to everyone who has sent lovely encouraging e-mails. I truly do appreciate it! Even more, I appreciate you being a reader/follower of my blog! Thanks!***
Lisa, it was so fun to go with you and your cute mom to hear the MoTab the other night. Thanks for inviting me! My friend and I have been going to Zumba classes for the past year, and you are so right: they are FUN!
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa, Just stopping by to say hello! I have been absent from blogging for a while, and am trying to catch up this week. It seems that I have missed a lot! I definitely have missed 'joyful moment Fridays' the most...I don't know what you've been going through, but I hope you are on the mend. Positive thoughts and prayers coming your way :-)
ReplyDeleteHere's to hoping you're continuing to feel better. I look forward to your return. Blog stalking just isn't the same without your updates.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa! I think you are amazing. I have always been impressed with your positive attitude and beautiful, ever-present smile. I am jealous of your gorgeous, curly hair. I am impressed by your bravery and tenacity in achieving your goals. You have a lot to be proud of. I haven't seen you for probably five years, but I still admire you. I wish you every happiness.
