Sometimes, we have to really go out of our way to serve. Actually, that's probably most of the time. I was recently, told lovingly by a dear friend that service opportunities normally come when it is the most inconvenient. I have to agree but there's somewhat of a trick to serving others.
First off, we don't always have to do it alone. There are plenty of other resources you can use without having to feel terrible about it. Example: Someone once asked me to bring dinner to a neighbor. I didn't get out of class until 6pm and wouldn't have time to make anything. I did the next best thing, I went to Whole Paycheck (a.k.a. Whole Foods) and picked out what looked delicious and delivered it. The receiver loved it!
Second, there's a funny thing about serving others. You always seem to find the time to get everything else done on top of it. I think it's because you simply feel good because you went out of your way to help someone else when they needed it.
A good deed does brighten a dark world! No matter the size of that good deed. Happy weekend lovelies!

As always, I love these. I feel like you should make posters with these ideas on them. I would get them all and put them all over my house :) Just sweet little daily reminders
