Day 26: Be with the lonely

I was out with one of my friends and he came up with the idea to go visit with an older person who didn't have any family left. At times, living so far away from my immediate family, it's easy for me to feel lonely. I couldn't imagine being lonely all the time.

I have to say that this one is probably one of my favorites as it is also a Christmas tradition my neighborhood has. We often gather treats and hygiene products; putting them all in a box. Then, we take the boxes to widows all over the Salt Lake Valley. I honestly believe that it warms our hearts more than theirs and it has been something we look forward to every year.

It only takes a little bit of time to warm someone else's heart.
