I was at Trader Joe's picking up some of my usuals. The cashier in the line I was standing in was a little bit flustered and it started to take awhile for him to ring up the lady in front of me. Another cashier noticed and called me over. I smiled and thanked him. He looked me in the face and said, "Lady, I'm surprised you're not yelling at us."
Sure, I didn't have all the time in the world, but I couldn't have imagined yelling. In fact, I couldn't imagine being angry. Sometimes, it makes all the difference to be patient and just simply smile. It's going to be okay in the end.
