Where has the week gone??? I have been so busy with work and trying to get ready for our move. It's been fun planning how to dress up our little space! What I think it will come down to though, is actually taking a measuring tape and seeing what will really fit where. It's hard guessing if it will all fit in the floor plan the apartment company gave us. Give it a couple months and I'll have to post pictures!
I've also been learning about not holding on to stuff. I did not realize that I had this problem. Kevin would call and say, "I'm going to be giving away such and such dish to this person" and I feel like breaking down even though I know we don't have the space. It would have to be in storage for however long since we'll probably be moving from apartment to apartment still. I feel so bad because I relate that piece to a happy memory such as our wedding or a fun outing or an anniversary. Why do I do that? Any ideas? I have no clue because I'll still have the happy memory even though the piece is gone.
Although, this past weekend was exactly what the doctor ordered.
It started with a fun girl's night! My friend Angel decided to try painting her nails and using scotch tape. It made me laugh because it was something I used to do in Junior High to give myself a french manicure.
In the end, we decided cute idea but wild colors!
Sunday we made homemade Indian food! Sadly, I really don't have the recipes that we used, it we just looked up random things online but it was quite the fun little gathering!
Curious, do you hold on to things too? Have you ever tried to make exotic food? I'd love to hear!
Things should be calming down to where I'll be blogging more! :)

Before my family and I moved here, I had to go through bags of stuffed animals I had since I was a little kid. It was hard at that time but now I can say I'm glad I did that because I have more space. Okay, had, lol.
ReplyDeleteI guess you can kind of say I eat exotic food almost everyday. My mom and dad cook a lot of Mexican food.
I used to be the worst about hanging on to things... I'm not sure exactly when the switch flipped. Perhaps after moving like 11 times during college. Hauling all that stuff from place to place can be a pain. I'm better now about getting rid of things I don't use, or know someone else can use more of.
