Christmas for Two

Since everyone in my family headed different directions this year,
I thought it best to make the drive to Tucson
and spend a quiet Christmas just the two of us.

It proved to be exactly what I needed.

+Fun stockings filled with treats and toys on Christmas morning
+Opening presents on Christmas Eve and Santa hat picture
+New Christmas pajamas
+Chinese food for two on Christmas Eve
+Tradition Christmas food (ham and sides) on Christmas Day
+Lots and lots of Martinelli's to drink
+Singing/Playing Christmas Carol's
+Reading our new Christmas Book
+Don't forget Snoopy!
+Warm weather and pretty Christmas Cactuses

It may have been a fourteen hour drive that included getting lost in Phoenix for me,
but it was worth every minute.

It was a wonderful holiday, indeed.

Who is coming to our house?

I love Christmas books.
It's been a tradition in my family for years
to buy a new Christmas book for our family
every year.

Then from Thanksgiving to New Years we
read those books every night.

I'd love to start sharing my favorites each week.

This year, I added Who is coming to our house?
written by Joseph Slate and illustrated by Ashley Wolff.
This sweet little book goes through each animal preparing
for Mary and Joseph to arrive.

They all have something to do and continue to ask, "Who is coming to our house?"
My mom loves reading this book to our nieces.
She adds all the animal sounds.

The best part?
It reminds everyone the reason for the season.
