I love books and reading.
When I was in high school, I was somewhat of a bookworm.
My face was buried in a book all the time.
I mastered the art of walking while reading and avoiding
giant uncoordinated football players who could knock little me down.
My sweater was white and I was too religious to get asked out to prom.
I sang in the choir, played in the band and somehow managed to be a yearbook editor.
Books were my escape.
I still love books (even though, I'm currently reading textbooks).
For a long time now, one of my favorite authors is Nicholas Sparks.
I was only thirteen when I read the notebook, such a long time ago now.
It was amazing to actually hear him talk about his experiences and his family.
He talked a lot about his personal experiences and how parts of them, have ended up being in his books.
It was a great reminder that the little things that bring us JOY in life,
can be part of a an amazing story.
But then again, it's only if we write them.
It gave me motivation to take a minute and write down the wonderful things in my life
and to keep writing on this little blog.
So in honor of Nicholas Sparks and just the fact that it's going to be summer soon . . .
(No more finals and I love reading on the beach or by the pool)
Let's have a giveaway!
Who would like . . .
A paperback copy of
Three Weeks with My Brother by Nicholas and Micah Sparks
All the stories that he shared that night are in this book (sorry, it's only in paperback now).
Along with a $10 giftcard to Barnes and Noble, for your next book.

The winner will be announced Monday, April 25th.
Note: I am in no way affiliated with Nicholas Sparks or Barnes and Noble. I really like Nicholas Sparks' books and Three Weeks with My Brother is one of my favorites! As far as Barnes and Noble, again-I love books and it's the best bookstore (with discounts) in town.
