Just in Time for Christmas - Silhouette Giveaway

One of my favorite blogs to read (when I feel like procrastinating my homework) is Tater-tots and Jello. Jen is always coming up with new craft ideas and giveaways galore. If any of you are crafters, I think this is a blog for you!

Her latest giveaway is something that I dream about owning. A Silhouette machine! Enter here.

Lately, I've been toying with the idea of making beautiful crafts and having my own etsy shop. Once I own of these, I don't think I'll ever want to stop crafting. It'll be a great job. Plus, I love boutiques and farmer's markets. It may just be part of my plan to earn a few extra bucks to help me finish school.

The possibilities are endless on what you can make with this machine. What has now sold me on it, is that it's compatible with my Mac. Yes, I'm a now converted Apple Geek for sure (thanks to Kevin).

For now, I'm going to dream and maybe one day you'll find me selling beautiful craft projects somewhere. And while I'm dreaming, I may one day have a craft room to make all these beautiful crafts. It's too bad that this apartment can't grow another room.

Make sure you enter Tater-tots and Jello Giveaway!

Here some ideas from the gals at How Does She of what you can make with a Silhouette cutter:

Just in case you don't win, some of you may be able to afford their Cyber Monday deal.

Spa Night

It has been crazy around here! We've been so busy with school that there hasn't been much time to do anything else. Mixed in with all of that Kevin's oldest brother Randy is getting married this weekend. (Remember those cute engagement pics?) Well, the big day is finally coming.

Instead of doing the traditional bridal shower, why not have spa night? Lots more fun and we all chipped in for the bride to be pampered! :) Plus, lots of pampering for everyone else.

I went with the infamous theme:

Something Old: Pictures from Sue's wedding
Something New: A new engagement picture of Randy and Yvett
Something Borrowed: Dishes for the treats
Something Blue: Flower hair clips as a favor

The "Something Blue" hair clips. You can find tutorials on how to make these cute clips yourself here and here. Thanks to Jen from Tatertots and Jello and the Dating Divas! Don't feel like being crafty? You can buy the cutest flower clips/pins from Emersonmade.

Left to right: Bethany, Cheryl and Rachel
Next picture: Sue, Maritza and Yvett

Rachel and Bethany pick out their color. Rachel's favorite is to go with something dark, especially when someone else is painting her nails. We love her and other members of the family have nicknamed her the fashionista of the family. She always knows what's in style and where to find the best bargain! :)

Christina, Ali and I get our nails done (Thanks Sue for taking these pictures).

The Beautiful Bride!

It was a fun night. Thanks to Elase Spa for making it happen. We loved your large pedicure room!
