Six places

In continuing with the 10 Day You Challenge, I want to play a little bit of catch-up. The past two Tuesdays, I have been getting ready to drive across the country and moving in. It has been quite the adventure! So for my six places, I'll tell you where I've been and where I've moved to.

My map on my iPhone, I didn't quite follow it exactly but it was definitely a lifesaver at times.

1. Sahuarita, Arizona
Where I happily lived and when it came time to leave, sadly said goodbye to.

2. Bountiful, Utah
While it wasn't the most direct way to head out to Philadelphia, my parents really wanted to see me. Plus, it was good to be taken care of for the week I was home and to see everyone.

3. Omaha, Nebraska
I couldn't have driven across the country without making a stop to see my best friend! It was absolutely wonderful to see her. Sadly, we hadn't seen each other for almost three years! Thank goodness for Jennifer she definitely reminded me who I was and where I need to be in my new life.

4. St. Louis, Missouri
I always wanted to see the arch. To me, it was symbolic as a gateway leading into my new life.

5. Bolivar, Missouri
I ended up back tracking (by like four hours) thanks to my sweet friend Amanda! I forgot that she lived in Missouri and texted her last minute. I realized that if I wanted to see her, now would be my chance. I can't tell you how beautiful it was to drive through the backroads of Missouri and to see several small towns.

6. Indianapolis, Indiana
This is where I ended up one night, after being really tired and I didn't want to drive anymore. It was a surprise to see such a beautiful city and they have a gorgeous canal! There were people out renting paddle boats, it looked like fun on what was a pretty sunny day.

(okay, so there's more than six--bear with me)

7. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
My amazing friend Lisa called up her parents and said that I needed to stay the night with them. She was right and while I didn't actually see any of the city, this was the sunset I saw as I arrived.

8. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The city of LOVE and final destination. Soon you'll be reading posts about this historic city. I've been here a few times to visit family but we never really spent too much time seeing everything. I look forward to exploring and seeing more of it. I quickly shot this picture after a morning interview downtown.

9. New York, New York
Where I hope to end up. My aunt still has an apartment there, so I hope to spend free time and weekends exploring this amazing city as well (not to forget all the fabulous shopping).

There you have it! I really did end up enjoying my road trip. What a way to see the country! Although, next time, someone else should come along! It definitely gave me time to think and time to realize the big decisions I would be facing. Here's to a new beginning!
