We LOVE Landon!

Today is a big day for our nephew Landon.
He is going to be baptized by his dad.
We're so sorry that we couldn't be there (finals, sigh).
But know that we love you Landon!

We prepared a special package for his big day.
It included a couple of little things.

A fun coloring book, written by my neighbor
Lene Beckstead.

Along with a book entitled, White Shirts.
As little girls have steps with white dresses, little boys have the same with white shirts.

Landon we can't believe that you're already eight!
Hope your day is one that you'll remember.

"To be baptized as Jesus was by one who holds the priesthood true and thus obey God's holy laws, is just the thing I want to do."

Joyful Moments-Mission Memories

My younger brother Jonny Mark (kid with glasses) sent me this picture (he's in the Philippines).

It made me think of my own mission back in Brazil.

I miss these guys, what good times.
I've been home for almost three years this June.

Where did the time go?

Doing good for others, is a great blessing.
I can't help but want to serve someone every single day.
It brings me JOY!

Last week I loved this picture from Mama's Gonna Shoot.Lovely.

Please help us in finding JOY!

I will blog about my Joyful Moment every Friday,
where you'll be able to link up your blog as well,
until the following Monday.

Here's the little details:
1. take a picture that brings you JOY
2. blog about that Joyful Moments, include our button (on the right) or simply link back to this blog
3. link up your post below
4. visit other Joyful Bloggers and leave JOYful comments!

Simple Things-Caden

My nephew Caden was baptized last Saturday.
It was quite the family affair and he had many family members to witness this special moment.
Baptism is a big step and the first step to other large steps.

One day soon-he'll go on a mission and will share about his baptism
day to those he teaches.
It will be a pivotal moment in his life.
And this little act at so young of an age, again is just the beginning.

"I like to look for rainbows, whenever there is rain. And ponder on the beauty an earth made clean again. I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain. I want to be the best I can and live with God again."

Caden's Baptism

Caden at his Uncle's wedding last fall.

Issac, Caden, and Landon
{best cousin buds}
He's finally turned eight and is being baptized today.
We're proud of our nephew and that he's made this choice.
{you can find out more about baptisms here}

There will be a very loud luncheon afterwards.

It will be fun and then Kevin has a surprise date.
He is working on making sure that I am de-stressed for my test coming up (or so he claims).
I love it.

Can't wait to see what he has planned for me!

Happy weekend friends! Hope you'll find time to relax as well.

Mark's New Mission Pics

Couldn't help but share these pictures. Mark is doing really well in the Philippines. I'm so proud of him. As my mom likes to say, "We made it!" He's loving the mission.

It was Jonny Mark's birthday on Saturday. The members in Palawan gave him a picture that they had someone in the ward draw for him. Jonny's latest baptism, Roxanne from the Prado Family.

Bananas and graham crackers on P-day.

The Pikachu district. They made district shirts with Elder Pikachu.
"Gotta teach them all!"

In other news, Mark is helping to plan a huge Christmas concert for the island. He is really excited to design the programs and to be playing his violin.

HUGS to my buddy!

Yay for Jonny!

Seven baptisms! That's a lot! I don't remember EVER having that many in one transfer. Two is a different story. So I thought I would cheer on my buddy for being part of such a great work and being so successful!!! I'm so proud of him and he looks so happy!
