Day 13: Mourn with those who mourn

I am a believer in that no one should have to suffer heartache and sadness alone. Recently, I had a fairly close person in my life pass away. The family has known my family for years but we weren't that close to say we celebrated holidays together. It was always the quick hello at church and at neighbor events.

Yet, when my parents found out about what had happened, they quietly helped plan funeral arrangements, sent for flowers and attended along with so many others. It didn't matter if we had been close or not, the point was to give support.

No one should suffer alone and it was clear that by the outpour of family, friends and neighbors, they felt loved. By showing love to those around us, they remember that God loves them too.

"are willing to bear one another's burdens, they they may be light; Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; year comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things," -Mosiah 18: 7-8

Who needs your love and shoulder to lean on?

xoxo
