Day 4: Encourage Someone

The words, "I've got your back," came from a complete stranger on an airplane. I of course, was traveling by myself to somewhere new for the first time and it was a big trip for me. I was scared to death of getting lost, missing a flight, renting a car for the first time . . . all the butterflies building up that I couldn't seem to let go.

Those four words stopped in me in my tracks. Someone was looking out for me, even a complete stranger. Those words haven't left me. What it meant was, "you may completely mess this up but I can help you get out of it, you're not alone."

Today, I have a huge meeting. I'm kind of nervous. I've been pretty quiet at work lately only because I've been out of the office so long for being sick. It makes me kind of worried. But at this big meeting, instead of blaming someone else, I plan to encourage them. People can only grow if we believe that they can do it. Never set anyone up to fail.

Dearest friend, no matter what battle you are fighting on this journey we call life, I've got your back. You can do this.

Who needs you to encourage them today?

xoxo
