What a Lovely Easter!

Auntie E worked extra hard this year to make Easter just right.
You see L and B are moving to Phoenix here soon
{thank goodness we'll have a friend close by}
and so it was extra special.

Luckily, it did not rain on our party!
Auntie E joked that next year we'll all have to celebrate Easter in Arizona because
then we wouldn't have to worry if it was going to snow.

There were wonderful decorations in every nook and cranny. Such a delight!

For the best part, the hunt of the eggs.
Some of the eggs contained gold dollar coins, what a treat!

Pretty sneaky, if you ask me.
Little B came and told Auntie B that a gold coin had gone missing.
She then smiled and told him that a Leprechaun came and took it!
She then turned and said to Kevin and I that is what she should have
told the people at the bank that she is Leprechaun when she asked for all of the gold coins.
Love it.

Dinner was an amazing pot luck with several dishes.
But of course, the best part is having everyone there!
While this isn't the best picture, it's how I want to remember our dinners. Everyone sitting around, talking, having a wonderful time. I'll miss it, more that I realize.
Now for the best part!
The treats!

Chocolate Birds Nest
Bunny Roll
I almost didn't get a picture because they were so good!
By the time I remembered this was the last one!
To make the bunny rolls, it's pretty simple.
Take some frozen Rhodes Rolls.
Follow the directions on how to defrost.
To take a bunny roll your need two rolls.
Take one and cut in half.
Stick as ears to the other roll.
Bake according to the directions.

Then take a frosting tip to make ears, eyes and nose.
Put in plain M&Ms for eyes and ears.

Such a yummy treat!

On a side note, I missed these while I was in Brazil.
I'm making them next year for sure!!!

Hope your Easter was lovely!

Simple Things-Easter Basket

Kevin's Easter Basket
Such a sweet monkey.

Happy Easter!

Easter is one of my favorite holidays.
I love the feeling of spring and renewal.
After all, today celebrates that Christ lives.

He lives and He lives to wipe away our tears and to save us.

I hope you'll spend this day, reflecting on what Christ did for you and me.
I'm going to be heading to a family party later today where we'll talk about
the resurrection of Christ.

There's more to the chocolate and bunnies.
{even though their great and delicious}

For us, Easter is a day of reflection and joy that Christ lives.

May you have a wonderful Easter!

Weekend inspiration here.

Did Jesus really live again?
Yes when the third day came,
He wakened and He left the tomb;
He called Mary's name.

Did Jesus come to those He loved?
Yes, people touched His feet,
And of the fish and honey comb
He did truly eat.

And there were nail prints in His hands
And a spear wound in His side.
Did Jesus really live again
After He had died?
Oh yes! And so shall I!

Random Thoughts

If you noticed,
I've been a little behind these past few days.
Everything is happening so quickly with school and getting ready to move to Arizona.

However, these have been on my mind to share with you.

First off, the AMAZING Rooftop Concert Series schedule has been announced here.
You won't want to miss out!

Next, I've been thinking a little bit about Easter.
Aren't these just lovely?
You can find the tutorial at Creature Comforts.

Last, I want to continue doing service even though I'm pretty busy.
I recently needed some new shoes and decided to go with TOMS.
For this simple reason:

That's right, for every pair of shoes, Toms gives another pair to a child in need.
Guiltless shoe shopping, with the satisfaction that a child in need gets another pair.

It's One for One.

Not to mention they're stylish and comfy too.

I picked this out because they'll go with just about everything.
So if you see me walking around Salt Lake, I'll be wearing them.

Find your new shoes here.
