P.S. 22

David Muir reports: 'One and Only' Chorus

I have always been a big believer that music can change lives for the best.

My mom once commented to me how sad it is that parents don't sing to their children. Now, my mom isn't the greatest singer, but she did sing me lullabies and any other song I wanted to hear while growing up. I love to hear her sing because her face lights up in a smile and it made my brothers and I feel like we were the luckiest kids in the world.

For the kids at P.S. 22, they are singing their hearts out and learning important life lessons. They are so blessed to have a talented teacher with a vision to teach them the joy of music and life.

I can't wait to see their new documentary, "Once In A Lullaby."

Kristine's Family

I love the Salt Lake City Library. All of it's windows and open atrium, fun and hip.

So when it came to doing a family photo shoot once the cold set in, there was no question that I wanted to have it inside the library.

Remember these cute kids?
They're adorable.

Sunday Drive and Cute Aiden

It had been quite the busy week and I was in need of a break. We decided to escape for a little bit before heading up to my parents for our traditional Sunday dinner. It was beautiful.

Kevin was driving

We soon reached a point where 1-80 meets up to the canyon and we knew it was time to go. Luckily, this cute girl was waiting for us all dressed up.

What a nice Sunday.

Lilly and the Pumpkin Patch

I love fall.
Lots of birthdays, the colors, football, smells of hot apple cider, Halloween, costumes, and the list could go on.
One thing that I love about fall the most is, pumpkins.

I don't know why, but pumpkins are so much fun. You can do so many great things with a pumpkin. You can carve them or bake them. They're decorative and delicious. I love how the colors are so bright.

One day I was driving around Layton and got a little lost on the way to a friend's wedding reception. I came across a pumpkin patch and knew that we had to come back. I thought it would be so much fun to take fall pictures in a pumpkin patch. Wouldn't you agree?

I made note of where I was and came home to tell Kevin all about it. Then today when there was nothing planned this afternoon, I begged and Kevin called his sister Christina, since she lives nearby the patch. They agreed to come and bring their little girl Lilly who is almost two. My wish was granted.

On the way to Christina and Dave's, we saw my truck. Lisa and Texas two great things!

Lilly getting ready it was all too cute. I love this little girl.

All of us on a hayride out to the patch.

We got a little scared on the way.

Walking in the pumpkin patch. Don't trip!

I think she found her pumpkin!

This is it! One that is just her size.

On the way back.

Beautiful field.

Us together.

Thanks Christina and Dave! It was a fun evening.

Kristine's Cute Kids

This past summer, I've been working hard to build up a photography portfolio. I've done families, engagements, weddings, kids, babies, etc. If you can dream it, I'll take it. However, one of my challenges that I believe I learned the most was while taking pictures of kids. Believe it or not, I overcame it.

Meet Teagan (10 months) and London (2). Both beautiful children.

I was a little nervous for two reasons, kids don't sit still and they cry when you want them to smile. It isn't easy to capture the moment. We're on the kids schedules.

Yes, there was crying.

But when there wasn't, it was the best.

Thanks Kristine your family is adorable!

If you're interesting in having me take your family pictures, please contact me at ldsoulesjones@gmail.com. I will give you the best deal, but realize I'm still learning.

My pictures are a gift from me to you!
