Always to Remember
It was touching to drive the streets of Bountiful today. I thought about how much time has gone by since the day it happened. It was a changing, defining moment in my life. The phrase "live life to the fullest" became a reality and had meaning. I fully learned what it meant to be an American and what my grandparents fought for in WWII.
It was humbling to take a quiet moment and simply, remember. Remembering my favorite city and the summer before that moment. Remembering where I was when it happened. Remembering the heartache and the healing that would eventually come. Remembering that all of us, together are still a strong country. The key is to simply, remember.

Remember 9/11
I was so young when it happened.
I had just came back from New York and was missing that wonderful city
as I began my first year of high school.
Now ten years later,
I still remember that day as if it were yesterday.
My favorite city under attack.
I never want to forget those who are the heroes.
It was a day that brought out the worst and best of men.
The small streets and churches of Bountiful were lined with flags
to honor those who have served and are serving our country, it was quite touching.
May we strive to be the best of men, by loving our fellow brethren.
And Never Forget.
