The Simple Things

It was the first major snow storm of the year.
The neighborhood kids trudged out in their snow gear
and had the brightest smiles on their face.

Heavenly Father had sent them a surprise.

Then to work they went.
When I came home from some shopping, I found this.
Right on the corner for everyone to see who drove past.

Snowmen have cold hands and a warm heart.

It's beginning to look a lot . . .

Did I call it or what?

I kept telling everyone that it would snow after Halloween.
Here it is the day after Halloween and the snow has come.

And while I'm a huge fan of Thanksgiving,
I'm really ready for Christmas to come.

Last night on the phone my grandmother reminded
that there's only five more weeks of classes!
Five more weeks! Wahoo!

I'm so happy that the time has passed by quickly.

I also think I'm getting ready for Christmas
early this year because of my long time wish
to make a tree for the Festival of Trees.
It's finally happening this year.

And thanks, to pinterest there's a lot of great ideas out there.
My favorites so far:

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

To those who are heavy hearted

My heart is heavy.
I don't know why sometimes bad things happen to good people.

I won't even understand what they've been through or just plain why.
But this I know, hold on. Hang in there.

Several people love you and are praying for you.

And sometimes something magic happens, just when you need it.
