A Sweet Reminder

I've been struggling a lot lately.

It's the main reason why this blog has been a little empty the past week.

I became really busy and very overwhelmed.

It made me question a lot of things in my life and if everything that I did was a failure.

But then I was reminded something most important to me and it made me smile.
And just so you know, I am doing much better.
This was on our fridge from Kevin, meaning, "I love you more."

It reminded me that my husband loves me plus why I am doing
what I am doing and that for now, it's my best.

Most importantly, he supports me and reminds me that I'm not a failure.
And I love him most.

Looking towards the light

{source}
I've had a lot of comments about the post below this one.

And I've thought about it why my news is so heart-breaking.
It's true, I put everything I had into my marriage and I'm currently putting everything
I can back into fixing it.

But let's get this straight. When I started full-time writing on this blog last September,
(I know it's almost been a year) I was going through a tough time.
More hard times followed.

Here is my conclusion.
I chose to look for the good and praise all great moments that were happening
right along with all the bad ones.

The good moments are what I wrote about.
And that's exactly what I'm going to continue writing about.

I come here to write about joy and you come here to read about it.

So let's continue it because joy has healed me before,
and it will heal me again no matter what I face in the future.
I know that it can also heal you.

There is light in every dark situation.
I promise.

Putting the Pieces Together

That's what this weekend was all about.
I haven't written much about it but Kevin and I are separated.

I'm learning how to put the pieces back together.
Or at least that's my hope.

But in realizing that the pieces of our relationship were torn apart, I've realized something else.
That I need to put the pieces back together for me too.

One of my sweet friends has what she calls a vision board.
It's a decorated poster board with quotes that she loves and covered with her goals.
Goals that are personal and some big such as paying off the mortgage.
I love it.

I think it's time that I do the same.
I've hated this transitional period where the future was so unsure.

Time to put the pieces back together, at least with me for now.

Taking time to slow down

An unexpected trip to Utah has caused me to slow down and enjoy the summer.
It has made me rethink everything and where I want to be in life.

I say that I'll slow down eventually but things just keep getting busier.
This time I mean it and it started with the help of my brother and sister-in-law.

We took a drive up to Pineview Reservoir just talking and enjoying each other's company.
Then we enjoyed the beauty of the earth around us.
Taking time to be calm and still, recharging-is what the soul often needs
when going through a difficult time.
