5 for Five


Can I repeat last week's goals? I think I need to try again.

Let's see. . . a hurricane, time change, school projects, the list is never ending!

One thing that did happen, I got a pass to a nearby gym and went for the first time this week. My goal by going the gym: simply get back into shape. Working out for me has never been about losing weight or being toned. It's all about being healthy and I am a slow runner.

As far as the fall boots, I keep getting compliments on my old ones. I love them even though they're all battered up and have a quite the rustic look. I haven't found a good replacement yet so I'm keep on wearing the old ones. I do have my eye on these, which I may or may not need.

From last week:

1. Stay positive: This was really hard for me to do. More chocolate please. 

2. Stand up more: I need to remember that my voice counts. 

3. Be in the moment: I read this really great blog post about being present. I catch myself saying, "Things will be better when. . ." I need to enjoy right now. Despite all my challenges, I am blessed.

New for this week:

4. Clean out my car and get it fixed. Poor car has a cracked windshield and two hubcaps missing from driving it all over the country. It's time to get it in shape too!

5. Use that gym pass of mine at least three times this week. I about died after my first time back in (that's how out of shape I am, sigh)!
