My little word for 2012

I realize that it's February and I'm a little bit behind.

I've thought long and hard on my little word for this year.
HOPE.

It's time for me to be more positive to hope for a better world.
Hope for a better me.
Hope for the best in everything.

For awhile this past year, I had lost all hope.
It's a terrible feeling to hit rock bottom to lose hope.

I was reminded by so many family and friends to
hope for the best because without hope there is no faith.

"If a man have faith he must needs have hope;
for without faith there cannot be any hope."
Moroni 7:42

Without faith and hope, there is no charity.

"If ye have not charity, ye are nothing for charity never faileth."
Moroni 7:44

Hope is the anchor of our souls.

"Hope is manifested in confidence, optimism, enthusiasm, and patient perseverance.
It is believing and expecting that something will occur. When you have hope you work through
trials and difficulties with the confidence and assurance that all things will work together
for your good. Hope helps you conquer discouragement."
Preach My Gospel pg. 117

I need confidence and optimism in my life.
It will make all the difference in finding joy.

It's time to conquer discouragement and to see the whole picture.
This 8.5 x 11 poster is available for you to print here.
(Please use this for personal use only as I created this myself).
Much love,
~Lis

Embrace the Camera

This year I wanted to make real goals and ones that I would remember.
After such a difficult year, I want to have goals of hope that will not
only benefit me, but help those around me as well.

The hardest thing I've had to learn,
is that I have to take care of me first and then help everyone else.
First and foremost, I need to be a better wife. We had a bump, a
hiccup and I'm committed to making our marriage strong. With
that being said, the goal is to make sure we have lots of quality time
without spending lots of money.

This is the year we need to start eating healthier.
More lean meats, more vegetables, less processed food.

Exercise. I hope that we can run a half marathon together.
Since we live in Arizona, we need to walk outside more.
Especially, while it's not too hot.

Savings. I have never kept a solid savings account.
Ugh, typing that makes me cringe. In the world of
economic unrest, we need a savings, emergency plan.

Both of us agree, that it's time to start a family.
It's a hope of ours that infertility will not be our friend.

Most importantly, I want to just "be there."
Meaning, be there for family and friends.
Be there for those important moments, have quality time and conversations.

It's also time to let go of being shy and say hello.
Again, just being there even if there's not a special invitation.

Then not to forget, never stop loving.

Here's to a wonderful 2012!
